Festivals and events

Piedmont, particularly the region between Langhe and Monferrato where the Cascina del Cedro is located, offers an incredibly rich variety of festivals and events linked to its deeply-rooted wine and gastronomic tradition.

The events in Asti and its province – land of culture, traditions and flavors – attract thousands of people each year. These include the famous Palio di Asti (a traditional horse race dating from the 13th century), the Festival delle Sagre (“Festival of Festivals”) during which each of the villages in Asti offers a typical local dish accompanied by a good glass of wine, the Fiera del Tartufo (“Truffle Fair) in Moncalvo, the Assedio di Canelli (historical reenactment of the Siege of Canelli), and Azzano in Fiamme (“Azzano in Flames”), a medieval evening of food and fine wine with Frederick I Barbarossa.
